LADY GAGA “OUTGREW” IRISH CONCERTS

Bad Romance indeed. A Galway-based concert promoter has taken a six-figure settlement from an American management company over a series of cancelled Lady Gaga gigs in Dublin and Belfast. Irish company Grooveyard had advertised concerts by the eccentric New York pop diva for the O2 on 18 October and Belfast’s Odyssey Arena on 14 October as part of her “Konvict Tour”.

Royal Visit?

The Sunday papers were uncertain about the possibility of a royal visit to the Four Courts this week. The Sunday Times suggested that diminutive rock star Prince could be on hand to fight an action by concert promoter, MCD, over his failure to turn out for a gig in Croke Park two years ago. But the Sunday Business Post indicated that he might defend his case by video link.
