The Sunday Business Post devoted a full page to the kind of apps that best suit the iPad. For social networking the top choice is “Twitterific”, the only free Twitter app that runs in full iPad format; under the heading “Travel and Location” the Post opts for Google Earth, which zooms in from space to your exact location – this too is free; for “Games” the favourite is Plants Versus Zombies, from Popcap, which is described as “the current high water mark for basic graphical gaming”. It sells at €8. For “News And Magazines” the Post goes for BBC News – it has dozens of sections with as many as ten top stories per section. This is also free.
