Landline telephone costs in Ireland are among the most expensive in the world, according to the Sunday Business Post.
The newspaper quoted from a new UN international telecommunications costs survey. It showed that a basket of line rental and 30 three-minute local calls in Ireland costs an average of €36.91, a full 28 per cent higher than the equivalent basket in the next most expensive European country, Germany, and 86 per cent more expensive than Britain.
