Sep, 2010

Emigration continues apace and the Central Statistics Office reported this week that levels are at their highest since 1989 with 27,700 choosing to leave during the year to April. The Sunday Tribune reports that 3,500 Irish nationals have applied to relocate to Australia this year. Most are Irish graduates and, increasingly, families.  The CSO also revealed that 25.8% of those in the 20 to 24 year old age bracket remain unemployed.
