Tech entrepreneur Norman Crowley has invested €4m in a new business venture he hopes will create thousands of jobs in energy efficiency, The Sunday Business Post reports.Crowley, a co-founder of Ebeon and the Inspired Gaming Group, has developed an iphone app and Internet application he describes as the “Google for energy efficiency.” It is designed to tell users how much energy they are using and how they can cut their costs.
He is aiming the app – Danú – at large firms and facilities management companies.
Crowley has also set up Crowley Carbon, which has created or licensed more than 100 energy efficiency products and has 32 staff in Ireland, the UK, Poland and Australia.
