Ardmore Studios boosted operating profits by more than 70% in 2009 to €500,000 and the hit TV drama The Tudors was the main reason why, The Sunday Times reports.
Income rose 5% to €3.1m at the studio, which is owned by Paul McGuinness and Ossie Kilkenny.
Although The Tudors has now finished its run, the studios continues to be busy, the newspaper states. Ardmore is set to produce Haywire, directed by Steven Soderbergh and starring Ewan McGregor and Michael Fassbender; the ITV series Primeval and Camelot, a multimillion-dollar US drama.
