TAKE THE MONEY & RUN

Sneaky, underhanded and devious individuals will reap all the rewards in a new TV reality game show format sold by Belfast’s Wild Rover Productions to Jerry Bruckheimer, the famous producer behind the CSI television franchise. Contestants in the show, Take the Money and Run, try to get away with the perfect crime. The Sunday Times says the size of the deal and the exact format of the show are a closely guarded secret but it is opening doors for the Northern Irish production company which made profits of €714,000 in 2008. Wild Rover piloted the show with the BBC in 2006 but the British broadcaster declined to commission it.
