NEW PLAN FOR FREE INTERNET ACCESS

Costa Coffee is to start serving free wi-fi internet access in its chain of Irish cafes. The company, which has outlets across the country, will start offering the free service this week in Belfast. It will make it available throughout the Republic over the next few months.
The Sunday Business Post says the move will make Costa the first coffee chain in Ireland to offer free wi-fi without restriction. Starbucks provides a service based on a customer card loyalty scheme. Bitbuzz, Costa’s provider, recently became the largest wi-fi operator in the country. The company that has the Costa franchise here, MBCC Foods, also runs KFC and Pizza Hut.
