ERRORS IN ROS FILING

15
Nov, 2010

Revenue has admitted a glitch in its online filing systems may mean some top earners could get away with understating their taxes this year, according to The Sunday Business Post.

Two errors have been uncovered so far. The most significant concerns calculating the amount of DIRT due and the second relates to individuals with foreign incomes of more than €3m.

Revenue said it couldn’t estimate the number of individuals affected until all returns had been filed and processed.

The deadline for electronic filing is this Tuesday, November 16.
