CIF TAX COMPLIANCE

27
Oct, 2010

The Construction Industry Federation (CIF) of Ireland is trying to tackle the rise of the black economy in the building trade by calling for tax-compliant certification for all state building grants. The CIF wants the government to insist that everyone applying for building grants – from refitting for disability usage to retro-fitting – must submit a copy of their builder’s tax compliance form. The representative body says this will level the playing field for all companies and individuals bidding for government work.
